We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Regional Administrator to join our North and West Team. We are looking for an organised individual who can call on their strong administrative skills and experience to support the North and West Team in being the first line of communication and leading on events management.
Corporate Responsibilities
- To ensure that the responsibilities of the role are carried out in a way which reflects the mission and the values of the NIoT.
- To be aware of and observe all policies, procedures, working practices and regulations, and in particular to comply with policies relating to Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, Confidentiality, Data Protection and Financial Regulations, reporting any concerns to an appropriate person.
- To comply with all reasonable management requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the North and West team.
- Ensure a seamless, positive experience for potential and existing partners, as well as potential applicants, which reflects the NIoT’s ethos and values.
- Communicate with schools to ensure trainee teachers gain suitable school-based placements.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications. This includes screening phone calls, managing emails, drafting correspondence, and responding to enquiries professionally and promptly.
- Gathering existing data into reports to enable the senior team to quality assure the programmes.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information, documents, or conversations.
- Prepare event spaces fully for events/meetings when needed. Inclusive of layout, ICT/audio equipment and ensure refreshments are organised and provided, which may occasionally be in a different venue from the main base (Blackburn).
- Undertake reasonable support requests from other campuses if and when needed, as agreed by line manager.
- Adhere to office procedures and maintain accurate record-keeping.
Essential Criteria
- Strong administrative experience.
- Experience of using initiative to solve problems.
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A pro-active approach that focuses on solutions.
- Highly proficient in managing and monitoring processes which drive successful reporting.
- A sensitivity to the requirements of different audiences and an ability to adapt style appropriately.
- A commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching.
- An interest in the education sector and a belief in the value of teachers and school leaders.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office software packages, such as Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as search engines and online databases.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of the Education sector.
- A relevant qualification in Business Administration.
- Previous experience of working in a remote and geographically distributed team.
- Experience of using management information systems and/or various online learning environments, particularly Microsoft Teams .
Working at the National Institute of Teaching
Contract: Temporary 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, Full Time.
Salary: £27,711 per annum, plus benefits.
