Melanie Renowden
Melanie is the Chief Executive Officer of the NIoT. She has spent 25 years working in education, most recently as executive director of Star Institute, the learning and development centre for Star Academies. Her expertise is in education policy and its implementation, professional development and governance.

Amrit Singh
Amrit is the Chief Operating Officer of the NIoT. Amrit moved to education in 2020 after a career in financial services, notably as Finance Director for a €500m revenue division at Deutsche Bank. He brings a wealth of finance, commercial and higher education experience to the role.

Reuben Moore MBE
Reuben is the NIoT's Executive Director of Programmes. He was previously the executive director of programme development for Teach First. He was also a member of the government advisory groups that created the Core Content Framework, the Early Career Framework and the National Professional Qualifications.

Dr Calum Davey
Calum is the Executive Director for Research and Best Practice. He joined from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where he focused on evaluations of complex interventions in health, disability-inclusion and education. Calum also spent a year at the Education Endowment Foundation and remains a member of its Evaluation Advisory Group.

Mark Osborne
Mark is the NIoT's Chief Technology Officer. He has nearly 20 years’ experience working in education IT, including most recently at the Northern Education Trust. He has been recognised nationally with multiple awards for his work delivering transformational change in education. He has also advised and supported numerous other schools and trusts, while many of his IT and EdTech developments have been adopted by other schools.

Emma is the NIoT's Executive Director of Partnerships. She has worked in education since 2006, where she began her career as a teacher of English at Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT). She most recently led the Outwood Institute of Education, OGAT’s professional learning network, as Executive Director. She was also a member of the DfE’s advisory groups for career progression and NPQ reforms.
