About Us

At the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT), we believe teaching is a fundamental societal good, a privilege and a responsibility. We are on a mission to improve the quality of teacher and leader development at a system level, using evidence, research and partnership to help shape a stronger education system for the future.

About the Role

At NIoT, we believe teaching is a fundamental societal good, a privilege and a responsibility. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Leadership Faculty as a Leadership Faculty Administrator and play your part in work that supports teachers and leaders to develop, grow and make a lasting difference in schools. Working at the heart of a busy and ambitious team, you will help ensure our NPQ and leadership programmes run smoothly and that participants and partners receive a professional, responsive and positive experience.

You will play a key role in programme activity, supporting events, managing communications and keeping essential administrative processes on track. This is a varied role where no two weeks will feel exactly the same: one day you may be liaising with partners or participants, and the next you may be helping prepare for a key event, supporting colleagues with programme logistics or improving the way we organise and deliver our work.

We are looking for someone who brings strong administrative experience, excellent attention to detail and a confident, helpful communication style. You will enjoy building positive relationships, solving problems and working collaboratively with colleagues across NIoT to provide high-quality support. If you are organised, proactive and motivated by the chance to contribute to work that strengthens teacher and leader development nationally, we would love to hear from you.

This is a hybrid role, with in-person working required at least once a fortnight and occasionally more frequently depending on business need. The role also includes participation in our annual all-staff away day, including an overnight stay, as well as occasional national travel.
