TIDE Expert Working Group (EWG)

The TIDE Expert Working Group (EWG) is established to provide expert advice and guidance on the Teaching Improvement through Data and Evaluation (TIDE) project.

The EWG includes members from the TIDE research and NIOT programmes teams, as well as experienced teacher educators and development leads from diverse school contexts across England. Members have been selected for their experience, expertise, and willingness to take part.

Members of the EWG will:

  • Engage in meaningful collaboration with researchers and fellow educational leaders to bring forward the insights and challenges of today’s classrooms.
  • Impact teacher development by guiding the project to address key aspects of classroom practices and teacher professional development to improve pupil outcomes and aid retention.
  • Be part of a supportive network of educators and researchers passionate about making a difference.

The EWG members are:

  • Patricia Hogan-Hussein – Primary school teacher and Teachers’ Coach, St Mary’s RC Primary School
  • Emilio Bayarri-Torres – Secondary Development Lead, Teach First
  • Paul McEvoy – Secondary Principal, Oasis Academy Media City
